What is Rashifal and how is it different from a Sun-sign horoscope?
Rashifal is your Vedic horoscope based on your Moon sign (Janma Rashi), not your Sun sign. In Vedic astrology the Moon governs the mind and daily emotional life, so a Moon-sign reading is far more personal and accurate for day-to-day predictions than the Western Sun-sign horoscope.
How is today's prediction calculated?
It's based on Chandra Gochar — the transit of the Moon. We compute where the Moon actually is in the sky today and read its position (house) from your Moon sign. The Moon moves about one sign every 2¼ days, which is why your Rashifal genuinely changes every day. The 8th-from-Moon position (Chandrashtama) is the most cautious day.
