The ShukrAI Blog

Vedic astrology, explained honestly.

The classical texts in plain English, how the systems really work, and why real Jyotish is about guidance and remedies, never fear.

Where to start

The posts below are not a course and do not need to be read in order. Pick by what you already know — most people arrive with one specific thing that confused them.

How these are written

Astrology writing on the internet has a credibility problem, and most of it is self-inflicted: rules asserted with no source, predictions with no method, and fear used as a sales tool. These posts are written against that, and it is worth being explicit about the rules they follow.

Every rule is traced to a classical source. Mostly the Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, with Jaimini and the KP system named as such when they are used. If a claim has no source behind it, it does not go in.
Charts are computed, never approximated. Every example is cast with the Swiss Ephemeris on the Lahiri ayanamsa — the same engine behind the free Kundli and all sixty-one calculators, so a worked example can be reproduced on this site.
Where the tradition disagrees, that is said out loud. Some questions genuinely have two classical answers. Picking one silently and presenting it as settled would be the easier way to write and the wrong one.
No death, no disaster, no dates for either. Not as a disclaimer but as an editorial rule. Jyotish exists to give guidance and remedies; a prediction that only frightens has failed at its job.
Corrections are made in place. When something here is wrong, it gets fixed rather than quietly deleted.

Everything on this site is free and computed from a real birth chart. If you would rather see your own than read about the method, cast your Kundli free →
